L&M safely and successfully completed the construction of a new state-of-the-art culinary arts and science academy which consisted of two-story science and general studies classroom buildings, a new practice gymnasium, and new site improvements including walks, fire access roads, lighting, and landscaping. La Quinta High School was an occupied campus at the time of construction with over 3,000 students. L&M removed existing portables for new construction as well as provided program development, preparation of bid documents, preconstruction services, bid phase, field construction supervision and management, project close-out, coordination with DSA and the Project Inspector. This academy was constructed with safety being a top priority. L&M worked with the District to develop safe paths-of-travel for the students, staff, and community. This school opened safely on time and within budget.
