Construction Management Multi-Prime

L&M completed construction of a new state-of-the-art 2,000 student comprehensive high school located in a rapidly developing area of North Indio. This new $108 million high school helped ease the overcrowding at the District’s three other existing high schools. L&M provided program/construction management to assist in the development and design of the school. Through constructability reviews, in-depth cost estimates, and value engineering; L&M was able to collaborate with the Architect and consulting engineers to maintain the project budget. During this two-and-a-half-year project, L&M controlled the overall change order costs to less than 1% through cost control measures and sound construction management practices. The scope of work included eighty-six classrooms, a science and technology center, communications and technology-focused centers, a 450-seat performing arts theater, large gymnasium, practice gymnasium, multipurpose room, media center, aquatic complex, concrete stadium, and concession buildings.
